Wife Fatally Shoots Texas Lawyer in Shocking Murder-Suicide

A prominent Texas lawyer named Jerry Hernandez was murdered and then committed suicide by his wife. Sonia, Jerry’s wife, reportedly shot and killed her husband before taking her own life, according to The Mirror.

At their Shavano Park estate, bodies were discovered. The reason behind the crime remains unknown to the police at this time. Sonia Hernandez was determined to have committed suicide, whereas Jerry Hernandez was declared a homicide by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A high-profile Texas lawyer’s wife commits murder-suicide. In another incident that occurred this week in Texas, an older man shot and killed a 16-year-old boy over a video game.

The incident occurred while Deeven Jones and Tavion Swindell were engaged in a game, according to KSLA. The two men exchanged angry comments while playing.

Jones brandished a firearm towards Swindell’s chest. After that, Swindell was shot and killed. Jones threw his cell phone out the window and bolted from the residence.

According to One Safe Place’s Michelle Morgan, there are still a lot of questions that need answering following the murder.

“From a crime prevention standpoint, now we have this tragic death of a 16-year-old that could have been preventable, and we just didn’t manage a conflict in the family.”
