KONTAN.CO.ID –yakarta. The choice of broadband internet data services in Indonesia is increasingly diversified. Furthermore, new players have arrived like Iconnet, a subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). For example a 10Mbps package, Indihome (a subsidiary of Telkom Group) charges Rs 199,000 per month. Meanwhile, PLN with Iconnet brand offers Rs 185,000 per month at the same speed.
For top speed, PLN charges 427,000 rupees per month for 100Mbps, while 100Mbps Indihome can go up to 1.2 million rupees per month.
PLN President Zulkifli Zaini is targeting 20 million Iconnet subscribers by 2024. “We hope Iconnet will become one of the largest fixed broadband internet service providers in Indonesia,” he said at a press conference yesterday.

Old players make strategies
Other players also apply a number of strategies to attract customers. This step is also performed by Indihome. Indihome is targeting 50,000 new customers in the next six months.
